By Arifin Konrad

The International Subud Committee (ISC) is calling for proposals from Member Country National Committees to host the 2027 World Subud Council in their country.
Proposals should be received by the ISC at administrator@subud.org before 30 June 2026. They don’t need to be detailed but indicate the options based on the criteria described below.
The ISC plans to hold the World Subud Council in-person meeting in July 2027.
Guidelines for developing proposals
These guidelines are not meant to limit proposals but guide the National Committees based on previous experience.
The proposals should take into consideration the following:
Date of the WSC Meeting:
Mid-July to mid-August 2027, for a duration of 10 days plus two days for arrival and departure.
If you are located on the southern half of the globe please suggest the best dates.
Location of place/ venue of WSC Meeting:
- Close to a Subud center, and central/social hub.
- Easy transportation from and to the venue.
- Close and easy access/transportation to accommodation facilities.
Venue facility
- availability of adequate meeting rooms and Latihan space for the council members
4-6 breakout rooms, 1-2 large ballrooms, reception/registration area
- adequate for holding between 50 and 150 people
- internet access
- dining room
- available catering for food and beverages
Entry Visa
- easy process of visa for council members [from countries in South America and Africa]
Participants & Observers
The minimum number of participants will be the World Subud Council members (40+) however we want to be very open to observer participation. The WSC meeting in Fatima had 120 participants.
It is advisable to have a budget plan based on the expectation of people being able to travel to this location.
Practicality and result of testing will determine the decision.
