The Subud World Organization (WSA) is the main organization for the worldwide Subud community. Members of the WSA are national Subud organizations.

Subud is a spiritual exercise or training called the ‘latihan’ which is open to people whatever their religion or belief.

The WSA exists to support the practice of the latihan, and the human activities that arise from it. The organization is responsible to organize a World Congress every four to five years, which is the congregation of the member countries representing the individual member, to agree on policies and decide on activities and projects that pursue the fulfillment of the constitutional aims of the WSA. 

While implementing and working on these aims of the WSA, we retain personal information of members, [newsletter subscribers] and donors.  We use this personal information to inform them about WSA work and programs and other Subud activities, and to request assistance for WSA work and programs, via donation.  This information is most often comprised of name, postal address and email address. It is always collected from the subject individual directly and voluntarily. WSA officers do not send requests for donation to individual private members.

We take appropriate measures to make sure personal information is secure, accurate and up-to-date. This includes both electronic and organizational measures.  WSA does not share or rent personal information with any other organizations or individuals outside the Subud organization.

When processing a donation via the WSA website, WSA retains only contact information and type of donation (monthly, one-time, etc.).  Other information related to the processing of the donation, such as credit card data, is not retained by WSA. 

Permission for communication from WSA can be withdrawn at any time, typically via an “unsubscribe’ link on the web site or in an email.  Deletion or viewing of their personal information may be requested at any time by the subject individual.
